On Ramp

The ON RAMP is a course of 25 instruction sessions to impart knowledge about business lilteracy and the fabric of successful entrepreneurship.

This Program is based on a three year proof of concept conducted and funded by the Richmond EDA. Of the 75 graduates in this proof of concept, 67% were operating their business two years after the graduation.

Program Format

The Program is available in two formats:

  • 3 months power class, with two sessions per week, Mondays and Thursdays
  • 6 months regular program, with one session per week, Tuesdays

Classes take place from 6pm to 9pm. Special conditions upon request. A Laptop or Tablet is mandatory, all other training materials will be provided.

Admission & Fees

The Program is open for everybody.
The fee is $150 per session and venture, one venture includes up to 3 officers of the company.
Payable at the start of the course.

Stability: Keep Flying

Stability is a wrap around program, which supports entrpreneurs for 30 months after graduation.

It sparked from the notion, that the first 3 years of entrepreneurship bear the biggest risk of failure. To mitigate that risk, we offer three layers of support.

Layers of Support

  • Onramp Alumni: A group that cares and is available when needed.
  • Accountability Groups: Small groups (between 4 and 6 members), which meet regularily.
  • Mentor and Coach Network: The Know - it - alls to solve the tricky challenges

Admission & Fees

The Program is open for participants of The ON RAMP, ambitious business owners or comparable programs.
The fee is $250 per month.
Special support for challenged individuals is available.
